The driver of a semi tractor-trailer truck was killed in an accident this morning on the I-5 in Olympia reports The Seattle Times.
The trucker, a 49-year-old Renton man apparently lost control of the truck and crashed into the Eastside Street overpass. The driver had only been on the job for 3-1/2 weeks; his instructor suffered minor injuries and may have been in the sleeper compartment of the truck at the time.
It is not known whether speed was a factor in the accident. The accident is under investigation.
