Spokane area car accident kills girl, injures father and grandmother

Olivia Chaffin, age 9, was critically injured in a car accident on Thursday evening in north Spokane County and has subsequently died of her injuries.

The car accident occurred around 6pm when a pizza delivery driver ran a stop sign at Monroe and Hazard roads and t-boned the vehicle Olivia was riding in.

Olivia’s grandmother, Shirley Chaffin, 64, suffered multiple fractures in the accident. Her father, Richard Chaffin, suffered minor injuries.

The pizza delivery driver was identified as Echo Henderson 24, of Clayton.

Police are currently investigating the car accident.
