IKEA recalls roller and roll-up blinds and Roman shades due to strangulation risk

The Consumer Product Safety Commission along with IKEA home furnishings has issued a recall of roller blinds, all Roman blinds, and roll-up blinds due to the strangulation risk they pose to children.

The recall notice is for 3,360,000 units.

The recall was issued after there were reports of one strangulation and two near-strangulation to small children due to the product.

The blinds were sold at IKEA stores. In the Pacific Northwest, there is an IKEA store in Renton, Washington and one in Portland, Oregon.
