Three people were killed and a young woman was critically injured in a Garden City head-on car accident early this morning. Garden City is approximately 23 miles west of Olympia in Western Washington
The car accident occurred when a Lincoln Town Car driven by Noah Willhide, 25, of Boise, ID, drove the wrong way on Chinden Boulevard and hit a car driven by Jamie L. Taylor, 22, of Eagle.
Both Willhide and Taylor were killed in the car accident along with an unidentified passenger in the Kia.
Garden City Police Sgt. Blair Brannan described the crash as, “one of the hardest impacts I’ve ever seen.”
Police believe that Willhide may have been driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs at the time of the accident.
In 2009, there were 453 fatal accidents. In the U.S., there were almost 22,000 fatalities due to alcohol-related car accidents. The consequences of drinking and driving are often too tragic.
