Federal Way school bus accident injures 3 children, 2 adults

Three children and two adults were injured when a school bus and a passenger vehicle were involved in a head-on collision in Federal Way reports King 5 news.

The accident occurred in the 29500 block of 9th Avenue South around 2:50pm between a black Honda Civic and a the Nautilus K-8 school bus.

Three children were taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries. Two adults in the Honda were also injured.

School buses are designed to protect children in the case of an accident. In fact, they are the safest way to transport children to and from school. There are approximately 9 billion school bus trip every year involving 25 million students and, on average, approximately 19 school-age children are killed in school bus accidents each year.

Hopefully, no one suffered serious injuries in this accident. Police are investigating the cause to determine fault.
