2011 highway motor vehicle accidents hit a 10-year low

The Washington State Patrol reports some good news: there were fewer highway collisions in 2011 than in any other year in a 10 year span.

According to the Highway patrol, there were 99,000 motor vehicle collisions in 2011. Compare that with 2005 when there were more than 123,000 collisions.

The Patrol credits driver behavior, drivers who driving more safely, driving slower, and who aren’t drinking and driving for reducing accidents.
