Construction worker injured in Toutle sediment dam accident

A 24-year-old Ridgefield man was seriously injured in a pile driving accident at the Toutle sediment dam project on Friday afternoon.

According to a report on The Daily News Online, the man was airlifted to Southwest Washington Medical Center in Vancouver after the construction accident.

Pile-driving involves driving piles into soil when building a foundation for buildings or structures. The report said the accident involved a log that construction workers were setting into place.
