Woman critically injured when SUV slams into parked Bayliner boat in Kenmore

The passenger of an SUV was critically injured in a motor vehicle accident late Monday night when the driver of the SUV she was riding in crashed into a parked boat in the 19600 block of 61st Place NE in Kenmore.

According to a report on KOMO News.com, the female passenger was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. It took rescue workers approximately 15 minutes to free her from the vehicle.

The female driver of the SUV was also injured but her injuries did not appear to be as serious. Police believe that alcohol may have been a factor in the accident .

According to the article, the Bayliner boat was totaled in the accident. The boat owner apparently had just purchased the boat and had parked it for a few days before putting it into a slip.
