Police seek driver who ran bicyclist off road near Redmond

A 49-year-old Seattle man was seriously injured in a bicycle accident when a red minivan ran him off of Highway 202, just east of Redmond on Saturday.

The bicyclist was taken to Overlake Medical Center in Bellevue for treatment of his injuries.

According to a report in The Seattle Times, the bicyclist was riding with a group of about 10 cyclists with the Starbucks Racing Team when he rode his bicycle into a ditch to avoid being hit head-on by a the red minivan that was driving erratically.
