Seattle window washer survives fall from 8th story

The Seattle Post-Intelligencer reports that a Seattle window washer survived a fall from the 8th floor of the building he was working on when his safety ropes stopped his fall at the second floor. According to the report, the 34-year-old man was working on the eighth floor of the Broadacres building at1601 Second Ave. when he fell.

Witnesses said the man’s harness protected his torso from hitting the building and that he went through a window near the second floor. The man was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with serious injuries but not life-threatening injuries reports the P-I.
