Washington skipper dies after boating accident injuries near Gray’s Harbor

The skipper of a 73-foot commercial fishing boat, Keenan Stearns, age 50 of South Bend, Washington, died of injuries he received in a boating accident near Gray’s Harbor, Washington.

According to a report in The Oregonian, Stearns became entangled in fishing gear while fishing approximately 15 miles west of Gray’s Harbor. Stearn’s crew freed him and he was taken by Coast Guard helicopter to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
