Police search for witnesses in Auburn Highway 18 hit-and-run car accident

The Washington State Patrol is seeking anyone with information regarding a hit-and-run car accident on Highway 18 that left a 21-year-old Maple Valley woman injured in the early morning hours of May 5.

According to a report in the Tacoma The News Tribune, the Maple Valley woman was driving her 2007 Ford Mustang on eastbound Highway 18 near Auburn. Apparently, she collided with another vehicle going in the same direction and her car crashed on the off ramp to State Route 516. The vehicle she collided with, which may have been a flatbed or utility truck, left the accident scene.

The injured woman was taken to Seattle’s Harborview Medical Center for treatment of her injuries.

The WSP is asking anyone with information about the car accident to call the State Patrol at 425-401-7788.
