Puget Sound boating accident injures three when motorboat & sailboat collide

KiroTV.com reports that three people were injured when a motorboat and a sailboat collided in Puget Sound, leaving the sailboat with a large hole in the hull on the portside. The boating accident occurred off of West Point north, west of downtown Seattle.

A 55-year-old man was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle and a 40-year-old woman was taken to Virginia Mason Hospital in Seattle. The report did not indicate which boat they were riding in or the extent of their injuries but it reported that two people were injured on the sailboat and one was injured on the motorboat.

The sailboat, Neptune’s Car, is operated by Emerald City Charters Let’s Go Sailing and is a passenger tour boat docking at Pier 54. The report said that there were 15 passengers and two crew members onboard the sail boat when the accident occurred.
