The Consumer Product Safety Commission along with Maclaren USA, Inc, of South Norwalk, Conn. Has announced a voluntary recall of approximately one million strollers after reports of 12 children having the tips of their fingers amputated by the stroller’s hinge and other children suffering lacerations.
The recall involves the following strollers: Volo, Triumph, Quest Sport, Quest Mod, Techno XT, TechnoXLR, Twin Triumph, Twin Techno and Easy Traveler. These strollers are manufactured in China and were sold by Babies “R” Us, Target and other vendors between 199 and 2009.
If you purchased one of these strollers, contact MacLaren USA. They plan on providing consumers with a hinge protector.
