Tacoma installs "speed cameras" to enforce speed limit
The Tacoma police department put into operation two speed enforcement cameras early this morning reports Brian Everstine reporting in Tacoma's The News Tribune.
According to the report, the cameras will be placed:
- 2900 East Bay street -- called "The Bay Street Curve"
- Near the intersection of North Orchard and 26th streets near Downing Elementary School.
The city is phasing in the cameras with a two week warning period in which car owners will receive a letter but will not be fined. Starting December 2, any owner of a car photographed speeding will receive a citation which includes a $101 fine.

Doesn't anyone read the law RCW 46.63.170 states that no more than one speed camera per jurisdiction will be allowed. Plus the city of Tacoma has been charging violators under 46.61.170.csc which does not exist, per the code reviser office of Washington state. I intend to beat my ticket tomorrow at 0945
