Engineer injured in Tacoma freight train accident

Seattle's KOMO News.com reports that an engineer was injured when a Burlington Northern Safe Fe freight train and a Union Pacific freight train were involved in an accident in the Tacoma, Washington switching yard.

The train accident occurred on Monday evening when the BNSF locomotive hit the side of the departing Union Pacific train.

The accident cause is being investigated. The condition of the engineer was not provided.
